Sisterhood
During your 40
days as a Ruby, it is our sincere desire that you would be growing
spiritually, mentally, socially and academically in Christ as you
prepare to become an active sister in Theta Alpha.
This
sisterhood is one that is shared beyond our campus and the college
years. Alumnae chapters are being established throughout the southeast,
and you will always be a Theta Alpha!
We share our
memories, we share our lives, we share our traditions, but most of all,
we share Jesus Christ and our mission to glorify Him on campus.
Sister's
are encouraged to:
1. Be
an example to her sisters and fellow believers in her speech, life,
love, faith, and purity.
"Don't let
anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for
the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity." 1
Timothy 4:12
2.
Glorify God, our Father in Heaven, in whatever you do.
"So
whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of
God." 1 Corinthians 10:31
3.
Treat others with respect and kindness.
"My dear
brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to
listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry." James 1:19"So in
everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this
sums up the Law and the Prophets." Matthew 7:12
4. Let
your words encourage and edify your sisters.
"But
encourage one another daily, as long as it is called "Today," so that
none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness." Hebrews 3:13
"Do not
let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is
helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may
benefit those who listen." Ephesians 4:29
5.
Uphold the Lord's commandments.

Theta Alpha is a national sorority, not just on FSU's campus and is a
ministry driven for Jesus Christ!
