Ministry

The ministry of Theta Alpha is designed to include internal discipleship and external evangelism. Our goal is to internally strengthen each sister's walk with the Lord so that they may become more mature women of God.

While Theta Alpha is structured similarly to a traditional sorority, Theta Alpha is not a traditional sorority. We are a ministry that seeks to glorify God through the edification of young women and transforming them into Christ-centered laborers on college campuses and then in their communities after graduation.

Internal Discipleship

Accountability Groups

Each week, the women of Theta Alpha split off into small groups for accountability. This is designed to be a time where sisters can encourage, pray for, and challenge one another to be the women God created us each to be. Walking strong in the Lord is not always easy in a college community, but together with your sisters, you can be encouraged.

"Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed." ~ James 5:16

Prayer Nights

Each semester, each chapter of Theta Alpha is required to hold at least four prayer nights. Prayer nights are a time to lift up each other and your respective campus in prayer. God has promised to hear and answer our prayers. We desire to be a movement and a sorority of Christian women who pray faithfully knowing that God alone is sovereign and that He alone can bless us and our efforts to glorify Him on college campuses.

Sisterhood Retreat

Once a semester, Theta Alpha holds a Sisterhood Retreat. This is a time to get away from the ollege atmosphere and reconnect with God and your sisters. We are always looking for Godly women to speak at our retreats. If you or someone you know would be interested in teaching, please contact us

External Evangelism

Service Projects

Each semester, the women of Theta Alpha participate in an ongoing service project that glorifies God in the community. This is managed by the External Vice President.

Philanthropy

Each year, the active chapters of Theta Alpha hold a philanthropy that is designed to raise money for our national philantropy, Desire Street Ministries.Each of our chapters is still evolving this concept and creative undertakings in the past have included: benefit dinners, raffles, talent shows, and football tournaments.
