Our
Structure
Theta Alpha has been designed
early for success. We are headed by our National Board of Directors
which branches down all the way to our chapters. While we have few
women right now, this design should hold for when we have 28,000.
National Board of
Directors
Our National Board of Directors
has seven positions: National President, External Vice President,
Internal Vice President, Chaplain, Secretary, Treasurer and the
Chairwoman of the National Alumnae Council. These women set the
direction and tone for the sorority and are elected to three year terms
in rotating elections.
Undergraduate Chapters
An undergraduate chapter is
located on a College Campus and is registered as a ministry with the
Student Activities Council. The chapter has a Faculty Advisor to serve
as a liasion between the University and the Chapter, an Alumnae
Advisior that serves as a liasion between the National Board of
Directors and the Chapter and an Alumnae Council that consists of
Chapter Alumnae who financially support the chapter and serve as
guiders for growth.
Chapter Alumnae Councils
After a chapter has been a
chapter for five years, they will recieve a charter from the National
Board of Directors allowing them to open an Alumnae Council. The
Alumnae Council will have a constitution approved by the National Board
and can financially contribute to the operations of the undergraduate
chapter. The women will also serve as direct advisors.
National Alumnae Council
The chairwomen of each Chapter
Alumnae Council will comprise the National Alumnae Council. They will
elect their own officer corps and they will represent all of the
Alumnae nationally. The chairwoman of this group will automatically sit
on the National Board of Directors. She will serve one year terms.
